Keep it simple.
1- Have fun
You deserve it. It’s been a weird and frustrating year so make sure you enjoy yourself. Do not obsess over your workout program or diet. This is a time to relax and de-stress.
2- Don’t diet
We strongly suggest you simply follow a balanced diet without counting calories. Have your regular servings of protein, carbs, and fat. It’s much easier to implement and you will spare yourself a lot of aggravation over your nutrition.
3- Keep moving
We can easily lose our motivation to workout while on vacation especially when we don’t have access to a gym. Having said that, you can always do body weight exercises such as, Squats, Split Squats, Lunge variations, Pushups, Hip Bridge variations, Single Leg Romanian Deadlifts and if you can bring a band or TRX you can do Band Pull Aparts or TRX Rows. Lots of hotels have some sort of gym so you can always find some strength training equipment there. If the weights are limited just do more reps per set. For your cardio, you can go for a walk, ride a bike, go for a hike, swim. It doesn’t have to be super complicated, just do something.
4- Get enough sleep
We know that you want to enjoy your vacation and get up super early to do activities, or stay up late, hanging out with family and friends. But don’t neglect sleep, your body needs it to recover properly.
Enjoy your vacation. Don’t stress. Stay active.
